We are excited to share that the UWC has moved to Rohrbach Library 100c!

The University Writing Center is a free service for students, offering advice and assistance with writing assignments from any course or subject. Tutors can assist you in improving your composing process, as well as with development, organization, style, documentation, and mechanics. The UWC is located in Rohrbach Library 100c on the main floor. Please call 610-683-4733, email wrcenter@kutztown.edu, or come in to Rohrbach Library 100c to set up an appointment. Walk ins are welcome.

Besides our hours during the week, we will also be open select Sundays near midterms and final exams. Please encourage your students to come for guidance and to bring their assignment sheets with them.

RESOURCES: In addition to helping students with various steps of the writing process for any courses, we can also help with documentation of sources; we have reference sources for numerous citation methods from the various disciplines on campus.

IN CLASS UWC INFORMATION SESSIONS: If you would like one of our tutors to come to your class to bring handouts and to familiarize students with the Writing Center (with a 5-10 minute talk), please contact me with the desired date and time (pytleski@kutztown.edu). Or let me know if you would like to bring a class to the Writing Center for a tour or would like a tutor to help with an assignment in your classroom.

On our website, we have links to various helpful writing topics under the “Information for Faculty” link. We are adding to this resource all the time. Here, you can find PowerPoint presentations, handouts, activities, and/or class activities related to writing in the classroom.
