Carl Seiple

Assistant Professor, Modern Drama

Prof. Seiple earned B.A. English and Pennsylvania Secondary Teaching Certificate I from Albright College, and an M.A. English from The University of Akron focusing on Tom Stoppard and his manipulation of modern drama’s themes and forms, particularly those in Pirandello, Beckett, and Ionesco. He has worked over the years in academic and non-profit theaters as an actor, director, technical director, scene designer, producing director, and administrator. He earned a certificate in Teaching at a Distance from the University of Maryland University College in 2004.  He is the editor of the English Association of Pennsylvania State Universities’ journal EAPSU ONLINE.

His poetry has appeared in The Classical Outlook and The Mulberry Poets and Writers publications. He is the faculty sponsor of ACT, the student performance group, and with Prof. Alan Hines, a co-producer of FLASH MOB DRAMA, unrehearsed performance events involving faculty, administration, staff, and students.
